More is better, right? by RRVirdi | Jul 7, 2016 | Videos | 1 comment Share this:EmailFacebookTwitterGoogleTumblrPinterestLike this:Like Loading... 1 Comment Janet Gershen-Siegel on July 7, 2016 at 3:39 pm A few things! First, the million words can be fan fiction. Fan fiction can be a great medium because the starting has already happened. You spend little time on world building (which you do have to learn; don’t get me wrong), but other things like pacing, dialogue, and characterizations, can be improved. Less is actually better when it comes to social media. Just gonna throw it out there – if you toss everything out at the same time, it will all suffer. Spread it out and use the #ICYMI hashtag (in case you missed it). Set a schedule but you can let it lapse if you have nothing to add. E. g. Twitter on Sunday, Facebook on Monday, YouTube on Tuesday, Twitter again on Wednesday, blog on Thursday, ICYMI YouTube on Friday, ICYMI blog on Saturday, and then you’re back to the beginning again. The tweets can be to promote the other platform content, and the blog and the YouTube video can be related (which you already do). Facebook can promote the blog as well. Also! Quickie thing – you can make the subscribe annotation note on your YouTube video clickable by hitting the link square (just check it off; it’s down a bit on that screen in your YouTube video editing page) and then selecting Subscribe. Then paste in your channel’s name and let it pull up the direct link. Save changes and you’re good to go. 🙂 Reply Submit a Comment Cancel reply Your email address will not be published.
